"Good performance, long service"

Richard Aquino, 35-year-old,
a long time school janitor of St. Paul University
We merely ignore a janitor when we see them. We think they’re just an ordinary person that we usually passed by the corridor. Ignoring their presence when they around.

St. Paul has a 17 school janitor designated in grade school, high school and college. The school maintenance personnel were divided in agency and in house. In house maintenance personnel were those who paid and hired directly by the university. Agency personnel were sent by their agencies and were being paid as they work on a certain place.

Richard Aquino, 35-year-old, a long time school janitor of St. Paul University.

He was one of the janitor we usually see wearing green long sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes. They were sometimes carrying with them a broom and dust pan, roaming around the corridor to clean our trash.

He works at 6am until 3pm. His daily routine was to clean the Mother Madeleine Denoga building followed by the Sister’s office and go onwards with the gardening.

He was one of the long time maintenance personnel among the others. He was in his 4thyear in his service.

Aquino started his job in St. Paul at the year of 2005. He is from the agency of the Maintenance and Allied Services Association.

He stayed long in his job because of his good performance as well as the good relationship he has with his co-worker.

“Natuto akong magbasa ng bible at maging malapit sa Diyos” Aquino said as he tells his story about his experience in St. Paul. According to him they where given time everyday to have bible study and sharing together with their co-workers.

He remains faithful and loyal to the school because of what the school had taught him. St. Paul changed his outlook towards his life.

“Kung gusto mo yung ginagawa mo, tatagal ka” Aquino added base from his experience.
This message will uplift an individual and could apply in all of the people. This key to a good relationship in career will inspire lots of people even a student will surely inspired by how an ordinary person like him could encourage.
