“Animals have life too.”

An animal doesn’t deserve to be hurt. They deserve a tender loving care from humans. But as generation passed, this fact was changed.

Nowadays many humans especially men which are tambay sa kanto are the most cruel in animals. They hurt/kill animals so that they have source of food or pulutan.

Dogs are the number one victim for this. They said: “Dogs are men's best friend.” But now they say “Dogs are good for men's appetite.”

Dogs have different races and breed. Here in the Philippines ascal dogs are the most populated which humans see this as a problem. In a way to lessen ascals they kill them brutally, unselfishly, and cruelly by using what they call TAMBUTSO, which is very unfair and painful to ascals because they don't deserve that kind of treatment.

Men from tambay sa kanto said: “Dogs are delicious for pulutan and it's not expensive. We kill them as a help to lessen the populated ascals. Due to poverty also we intend to kill them so that we can have our food to eat. We cooked them in many ways, adobo, prito, and a lot more putahe. Actually, they are more delicious compared to a pork.”

Philippines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) are not favored to this act. There goal is to prevent animal cruelty through education, animal sheltering and advocacy. PAWS believes that the creation of a more peaceful society starts with the widening of mankind's circle of compassion which includes animals, thereby envisions a nation that respects animals, practices responsible pet ownership and protects wildlife.
